In order to make use of the fabulous savings possible using VoIP technology a good quality broadband connection is required. Axis has teamed with a number of providers to be able to provide a good quality broadband service. The service provider and type of service will depend on your location.

Broadband can be delivered using any of the following connection type;

Cable connection directly into your premises (Only available in certain areas mainly metropolitan)
ADSL delivered over your fixed line telephone service (Limited by distance and quality of line from telephone exchange. Not available from all exchanges.)
Wireless Microwave (Limited to line of site, and range of approx 25-30km from nearest tower. New towers are being regularly deployed under the Federal Government's Broadband Connect programme*)
Satellite (Used where no other services are available)

* The Federal Government has established a fund to small businesses and residential properties to get connected to Broadband where they have not had any service available. If you live in a rural area, ask us to see if you are eligible for a connection subsidy.
